Tesla Powerwall: Get whole-home backup, 24/7

Tesla Powerwalls are a leading option for whole-home battery backup systems, bringing peace of mind and potential energy savings.

Cromwell Solar is a certified Tesla POWERWALL Installation Company

A battery backup system like Tesla's Powerwall is a great way to add additional functionality to a home or commercial electrical system. It can store energy (from either the grid or a solar panel installation) so you can use it when it makes sense—either during an outage or when power from the grid is more expensive.

Tesla Powerwalls offer robust energy storage capabilities, paired with a simple, powerful app that lets you monitor and program your energy use. They are one of the leading whole-home battery backup options on the market today, and one of our top choices for customers.

Additionally, you can receive a 30% Residential Clean Energy Credit for installing a Tesla Powerwall in your home, substantially reducing the cost.

Cromwell can give you a free estimate for Powerwall installation, taking into account the electrical demand of the building, how much backup power is desired, and the state of the existing electrical system to determine the number of batteries needed and the price. We currently have plenty of Powerwalls in stock at our warehouse and ready to install. Contact us today to learn more!

With customizable power modes, you can optimize your stored energy for outage protection, electricity bill savings and more.

Adding electric vehicle chargers

You can add an EV charger to your home system with or without a Tesla Powerwall. Home EV chargers let you charge electric vehicles overnight, often for much cheaper than elsewhere, and they pair very well with solar panels and home battery systems.

Cromwell Solar can install a home EV charger alongside a Tesla Powerwall (or simply by itself), giving you the freedom to top up your electric vehicle whenever you want. Contact us today to learn more.

HOw to use the TESLA POWERWALL

The Tesla Powerwall product line offers top-tier home battery systems, including Tesla Powerwall 2, the Powerwall+, and coming soon the Powerwall 3. Tesla Powerwalls can store 13.5 kilowatt-hours of electricity, about enough to power an average home for half a day. If you need more power, multiple Powerwalls can be strung together to boost capacity. Newer versions of the Powerwall also come with solar inverters for connecting the batteries to a solar panel system.

Powerwalls also come with a custom app that has long been the gold standard for home battery systems. Using the simple, intuitive app, you can monitor power levels and charge status, update charge and discharge settings, and more.

Tesla Powerwalls are very scalable and we can install a system that includes anywhere from 1 to 10 connected Powerwalls, depending on the needs and desires of the customer. So, your Tesla Powerwall installation can vary depending on your needs and situation.

SAve even more by USING A TESLA POWERWALL FOR TIME-OF-USE METERING

Powerwalls can be a big advantage if your utility uses time-of-use metering, which is a fee structure that charges more for electricity during peak hours during the day. Using the easy programmability offered by the app, you can charge your Powerwall up with cheap power in the middle of the night and use that power during the day when electricity is more expensive. When using a Powerwall to lower your electricity costs, you can even set a rule to keep some power reserved in case of outages and, if you’d like the option, it can even increase the reserves if the app notices a storm is forecast!
